The Story of World Travels with Saskia

World Travels with Saskia didn’t start as a business idea. It started when I was a baby with a tiny passport and parents who took me and my brothers all over Europe and beyond. Traveling was simply a part of my life from the very beginning. Some of my earliest memories are of walking through old villages, feeling the ocean breeze on my face, and watching my parents light up as we discovered new places together.

Those moments shaped me. They taught me to be curious, to explore, and to appreciate the beauty of connecting with people from different cultures.

As I grew older, that love for travel followed me everywhere. It felt natural to spend the 16 years as a flight attendant.

I spent thousands of hours in the sky, meeting people from every corner of the world. I watched families head out on their first big vacation. I saw couples celebrating anniversaries, new beginnings, and everything in between. Every flight reminded me how travel brings people together in a way nothing else can.

Once I had my beautiful daughters, I realized that what I loved most wasn’t just being in the air. It was helping people experience the same joy and connection that had been such a big part of my own life. I wanted to play a bigger role in creating the kinds of memories that stay with you forever. So I took a leap.

I spent 3 years as a personal assistant to a luxury travel advisor. It was an incredible opportunity to learn how the industry works, from crafting seamless itineraries to adding those thoughtful touches that turn a simple trip into something unforgettable.

That is how World Travels with Saskia came to life. It grew out of a lifetime of exploring, a passion for meaningful experiences, and a deep belief that travel should feel easy, special, and personal.

Today I help families, couples, and luxury travelers plan adventures that bring them closer, give them space to breathe, and create stories they’ll cherish for years.

In many ways, I’m still that little girl with a suitcase, excited to see what’s next. And I’m truly honored to help you create your own unforgettable moments.
